There are two types of membership: Owner/Manager Members and Associate Members.
Owner/Manager Members: Persons or entities who own, build, develop, operate, or manage residential rental housing properties. Owner/Manager members pay management dues plus unit dues for each property belonging to the association. The management dues are calculated based on the combined total number of units of all properties with AAGA membership under the same management company. When multiple properties under a management company belong to the association, the management dues are split among the properties.

2018 Owner/Manager Membership Dues
Associate/Vendor Members: Persons or entities who provide goods or services to the multi-housing industry.
2018 Associate Member dues are $300.00
What if I join after January, or in the middle of the year?
Our policy is that new members pay the full dues amount for their first year of membership, and pay prorated membership dues for the 2nd year of membership. The prorated amount is based on the month in which the member joined during their first year. If it is November or December, and you wish to apply for membership, contact the AAGA prior to applying and we can adjust your invoice to include the current & next year's dues in one invoice. Are membership dues refundable?
Dues payments are non-refundable upon approval of your membership application.

An affiliate of the National Apartment Association and the Georgia Apartment Association, AAGA works to achieve its purpose through three primary areas: Legislation – as the local advocate for city, state and national legislation beneficial to the apartment industry and free enterprise; Education – Offering a number of various programs and seminars for multi-housing professionals; and Communication – Using our various publications and programs to keep members informed on issues and events pertinent to the apartment industry.
In addition, the AAGA conducts membership meetings and educational classes featuring qualified speakers on a variety of industry related topics. These meetings give members the opportunity to network with fellow property owners, professional managers, and industry suppliers on a regular basis.
Your membership with AAGA includes membership in the National Apartment Association (NAA) and Georgia Apartment Association (GAA) with rights and benefits of both. The GAA offers a wide variety of leases and forms for the multi-housing industry, and the GAA Lease is the most widely recognized one in Georgia. We also offer the NAA lease for those companies who operate on a national level and want a standardized lease for all locations throughout many states. $0.47 cents of each Owner/Manager member's unit dues and $30 of each Associate/Vendor member's dues goes to NAA. $28 of your annual dues goes towards a 1-year subscription of the NAA’s Units Magazine and is non-deductible from association dues payment.
Dues payments are deductible as a business expense, but not as a charitable donation. A portion of your dues is non-deductible since it goes toward legislative issues.
The percentage of non-deductible NAA dues for 2018 is 15%.
