Membership Benefits
Monthly Membership Meetings and Networking Opportunities
The AAGA usually meets the second Thursday of every month. The AAGA alternates times for the monthly meetings between brunch, at lunchtime, and in the evenings for those who cannot always break away from the busy work day. Click on the calendar date of the upcoming meeting to find out the time it will be held. During the months when big events are going on such as the Annual Trade Show or Golf Tournament, the event is held in lieu of the normal monthly meeting.
Continuing Education Courses
AAGA features programs such as CAM, NALP, Fair Housing, Leasing, Pool Regulations, Safety Courses, Marketing, HVAC classes and other continuing education courses throughout the year.
Annual Golf Tournament
This event allows all members to get out on the golf course for a fun-filled day of networking. The golf tournament raises money through sponsorships and teams for a local charity every year.
Tradeshow
AAGA holds an annual tradeshow for all associate members to showcase their products and services to the CSRA's apartment communities.
Cook-out
This event allows for all members to get together in a fun and relaxed atmosphere to eat great food, play games, and of course, network.
Annual Awards Banquet
This is the event that rewards all of the hard work of this industry within our association. Apartment and associate members receive prestigious awards based on performance and member nominations throughout the year.
Committees
Phone and Welcome Committee
The purpose of this committee is to inform and bring together the direct associate members of the association for fellowship through communication of upcoming events. It is this committee’s responsibility to contact every member two weeks prior to an upcoming event.
Education Committee/ Program Committee
The purpose of the Education / Program committee is to provide the members with informative and enlightening classes, seminars and continuing education courses relevant to the multi-family organization and to plan monthly speakers. This committee works year-round and is vital to our organization.
Membership Committee
The purpose of the Membership committee is to work to help ensure growth in membership of the AAGA. The committee’s goals are reached through recruitment of new members. This committee also acts as ambassadors for the AAGA in welcoming the new and prospective members.
Legislation Committee
The Legislation Committee is responsible for staying in tune with all of the upcoming statewide and nationwide policies that affect our industry and keeping members informed.
Finance Committee
This committee works closely with the Board to ensure that the association stays on budget throughout the year and that invoicing for dues and events are done accurately and efficiently.
Golf Committee
The purpose of the Golf Committee is to promote the goodwill of the AAGA in the community by hosting an annual Charity Golf Tournament for its members. Through this tournament, efforts will be made to raise funds to be donated to a local charity (as approved by the board).
Tradeshow Committee
The purpose of the tradeshow committee is to plan and implement the Tradeshow that allows associate members the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the direct members of the association.
Cook-Out Committee
The purpose of the cook-out committee is to plan this fun event for the membership to get together in a relaxed, casual atmosphere and network.
Awards Banquet Committee
The Awards Banquet Committee’s purpose is to coordinate and develop the annual Platinum Awards Banquet held at the end of each year to recognize the acheivements of those in the apartment industry. (Board approved)
